Feature & Follow {16}

Feature & Follow is weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee's View and Alison Can Read. It's a fun way to meet and greet other great bloggers out there!

Don't have GFC? You can still follow by email, Linky, Networked Blogs, Twitter, or Facebook! You can find them all on the sidebar. This week's question is...

Write a letter to your favorite character. Rant, rave or gush…just pretend like they are real and you just want to let them know a “few things”. – Activity courtesy of author, Kelly Walker

Dear Yukiko,

I really wanted to love you. A lot of things were coming up in your favor too (Being a Stormdancer for one). I loved the kickass girl power stuff you had going there, but you honestly seemed like a plain jerk most of the time. One, you publicly humiliate and disrespect your father, which is very unrealistic in almost all Asian cultures. Two, you would choose a handsome stranger's word over your friend's. Three, your attitude in general. I felt like you were looking down on everyone. Four, I just don't like you. There were a lot of moments where I was screaming,

And not in a good way.

And your infatuation with the Iron Samurai's green eyes? Not cool. I get that you were blinded by the idea of him, but damn, who falls in love that fast? You met him once and suddenly he would be the only person you would think about on the brink of death? Why? Why put so much trust on him? Why break Kin's heart like that--okay, getting too personal.

I want to give you another chance. There's so much potential, yet... Anyways, I will see you again in Kinslayer and then we will see what happens next. Remember, you are my favorite character... but not in the way that you think.

Dear Rose,

I kind of had the same problem with you in Vampire Academy. How dare you break Adrian's heart! I was completely against you and him together but really, how dare you! Thank you so much for indirectly bring him together with Sydney, though.

Sincerely,

  2. I agree with the insta-love in Stormdancer, but hey at least she came to her senses, which sadly can't be said about most.

    1. True. I'm glad that the romance also didn't take up too much of "Stormdancer". Thank god he didn't transfer sides and really end up with Yukiko or I would seriously reconsider reading the next book.

  6. I haven't read Stormdancer yet, but I added it to my TBR list a couple of days ago. Sadly, I agree with your opinion about Rose. She shouldn't have led Adrian on, but now that he found someone else, I'm chill. :D

  7. Great letter, but I've never read the first story :/ Must go look up this Yukiko. Also, I had a bit of a problem with Rose as well. Only read book one, but I knew something bad was going to happen to that red-headed guy friend of hers. Crap, I can't remember his name. But I liked him. And he was good to her. Anyway, have a great one!

  8. Yeah I was annoyed with what Rose did. She didn't even give him a proper explanation and used him.
    Anyways, I followed you.

    1. "Stormdancer". Aside from some hated characters and inaccuracies things taken from Japanese culture, it is a good book.
